Safe to Fly
Neither is it possible in a few sentences to say why the Autocopter is so safe to fly. Here the reasons are mainly to do with mechanical and electronic redundancy within the aircraft, a sensor and database system within the fly-by-wire flight control system that prevents collisions with terrain, obstacles etc and an active system that warns the pilot that he is about to enter a dangerous flight states, e.g. the Vortex Ring State.
In its standard configuration the Autocopter will have three engines, three independent electric drive systems and a triple redundant FBW flight controller. The aircraft will be Category A certificated and in the case of two engines going inoperative it will fly on as a gyrocopter.
